I love to travel. It is a simple fact about me! Traveling has always been a part of my life and since I am absolutely addicted to it, I don’t see that ending any time soon. So it just makes sense that I have grown up to be a travel influencer. The number one question I get asked as a mom of 4 kids that loves to travel is, “how do you afford to travel so much?”
I love this question, because I love giving the answer, I travel mostly for FREE and you can too! Since becoming a mom, the word free has become one of my most favorite words because kids are SO expensive! The only way we can do anything is if we look for ways cheap or free experiences. While searching for ways to travel for cheap we found the mother load of savings for traveling with kids, the Get Out Pass!!
What is the Get Out Pass?
I love the zoo! For my family of 6 to go to the San Antonio Zoo it would costs us $25.62 an adult and $20.62 a kid. So in total for my family to spend a day at the zoo it would costs us $133.72! That is a lot of money for just one activity. Sure I could spend $133.72 for just one day at the zoo or I could spend $76 more and go to the zoo plus over 70 other amazing things for FREE with the Get Out Pass!!
How The Get Out Pass Works:

Once you have picked the activity you want to do, go to that activity on the day you have available with the pass, and then right before you get to the admission center, redeem it! Do not click the redeem button until you are at the activity, because you only have 6 hours to redeem it after clicking or you will lose the admission.

Just southeast of San Antonio, in the little town filled with painted squirrels, Seguin, Texas has the coolest amusement center. Indoors there in a climbing wall, a jungle gym, a simulator, bungee trampoline, an adorably painted carnival restaurant, a baby play area, and did I mention UNLIMITED arcade games! This is all just indoors!

Having 4 kids traveling around the world is a little bit pricy, so instead we just took them to Indigo Play in Austin, Texas. This giant jungle gym playground takes you all over the world and even beyond this world!
Jump on the pizza paths of Italy, climb to the top of an ancient Mayan temple, dodge the guards to the Queen of England’s castle, make it through the maze of cactus, sail in a Viking ship, walk on the moon, crawl through the Taj ma hall, surf the ocean, find the secret door to the mummy tombs of Egypt, and balance on the back of a giant octopus.
At the end slide down the giant American Flag to end your world travel experience! This is the most adorable themed play gym I have ever been to!

AggieLand Wild Animal Safari
Imagine a zoo where you can just stay in your car and the animals come to you!? Aggieland Safari is a giant drive thru exhibit of tons of different animals. Not only do you get to drive by the animals, but you get to feed the animals as well.
Have camels and zebras stick their heads through your windows of your cars! Hand feed a Wildebeest and buffalo! Throw food to deer of all variety and have your car stalked by ostriches! It is such a fun and exciting way to experience a zoo!
There is also a regular zoo area that you can walk around! I have never seen so many kangaroos before as the exhibit they had at Aggieland! Animal experiences and activities are always a win for my kids!

Typhoon Texas Waterpark
Texas is hot! Like ridiculously hot! In the heat and humidity that plague the San Antonio/Austin area, there is only one thing you are going to want to do and that is be in water! Typhoon Texas in Austin, takes this desire to be in water to the next level with their waterpark experience!
There are waterslides for the whole family from giant drops for Dad, to twisty tubes for Mom, and long slides for the kids! My kids could have spent all day playing at the gigantic splash zone, whereas I could spend forever floating down a lazy river!
This is the perfect place to beat the heat and satisfy the adrenaline junkie inside you!

San Antonio Zoo
It is my goal to visit all of the zoo’s in America. So I loved that we could get into the San Antonio Zoo for free with our Get Out Pass! This zoo is a pretty good size and has the largest assortment of flamingos I have ever seen! There were flamingos everywhere!
Another cool thing about this zoo, was the large variety of animals encounters available. You can feed flamingos, cuddle with kangaroos, pet a rhino, and even feed a hippo! So many fun ways to get up close to these amazing animals!

Austin Aquarium
This is not your typical aquarium. Instead of rows of tanks with fish, there are pens of turtles, cages of birds, exhibits of capybaras, and mermaids to sing with. Yep mermaids! My kids favorite part of this aquarium was the show put on where they sing and dance with mermaids and princesses.
Not only do you get to interact with royalty, but if you purchase coins you can interact with animals! You can hold lemurs, feed parakeets, pet stingrays, and so much more! This is pretty much a zoo/aquarium where instead of just looking at animals, you interact with them!
Location: 13530 US-183 #101, Austin, TX 78750
Hours: Sun-Thurs 10am-7pm, Fri-Sat 10am-8pm
Days available to go using the Get Out Pass: Mon-Sun, Once a year
Extra costs: animal experiences and coins are not covered with pass
San Antonio Aquarium
Now my expectation of this aquarium was very different than what I experienced. When I think aquarium, I think pretty much just fish. Now don’t get me wrong there were fish at this aquarium; there were also alligators, lemurs, cranes, porcupines, and so many other land animals!
How this aquarium works is you purchase coins and as you go through the aquarium you can use these coins to try different animals interactions! You can feed an iguana, pet a porcupine, or even play with lemurs!
If you don’t want to pay extra for the encounters that is fine, because there is still so many other fun things you can do. For example you can pet a tortoise, touch a small shark, walk in a coy fish pond barefoot, or pet a stingray. The stingray pond is the coolest! The stingrays are like little dogs just trying to get some love! They are so cute!

Frontier Times Museum
Texas has quite a few really quirky places and this museum is one of them. When you walk in your first thought is that it is a small history/antique museum. I have been to hundreds of those. As you walk around though you will find this is not your typical display of antiques.
Walking around you will find old pictures, spurs, cowboy art, and old saddles; all the normal stuff you find in a history museum. Where it starts to get quirky is when you find a two faced sheep, deer heads mounted with their antlers stuck together, and taxidermy rattlesnakes. It is filled with some of the strangest things!
My kids favorite part was the children’s outdoor exhibit. Behind the museum are a few activities for kids. These activities aren’t what any modern kids would know how to do, because these activities are games kids in the pioneer times would play. There are old musical instruments, dress ups, stick horses, and ropes to practice lassoing. Quirky, yet a fun museum to experience Texas in the old times.

Airtopia Trampoline Park
If you were to ask my kids which of all the activities we have done with our Get Out Pass is their favorite, they would without hesitation say Airtopia the trampoline park. My kids LOVE trampolines and this entire building is filled with them!
At this trampoline park you can channel your inner ninja by trying your hand at the ninja course. You can do flips into foam pits, run up walls, jump onto a giant pillow, and of course jump as high as you possibly can.
This is a great place to wear out your kids with an overload of fun!
Location: 16628 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio, TX 78232

Monster Mini Golf
If you are in San Antonio and the weather is a little too hot or its raining, Monster Mini Golf is the perfect place to wait out the weather. This is your normal mini golf; a course of obstacles that you need to get through to get your ball in the hole.
What makes Monster Mini Golf so much more fun, is that one the entire building is lite only by black light and two you are surrounded by monsters! Hence the name, right!?
There are moving trees with faces, giant trolls that blink, witches stirring their cauldrons, and creepy glowing gargoyles. The grand finale is even putting into the mouth of a creepy clown! My kids were a little too little to really enjoy mini golf, but they loved the experience!
